Author Guidelines

The Journal of Economic, Finance Research and Review (JEFRR) invites high-quality, original research contributions encompassing all areas of economics, finance, and closely related fields. To enhance your manuscript’s success and its discoverability, please follow these comprehensive and internationally benchmarked author guidelines.

1. General Submission Requirements

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Duplicate submissions or previously published work are not accepted.

  • Scope: Manuscripts should present empirical, theoretical, or policy-relevant research in economics, finance, financial markets, econometrics, public finance, development economics, or related interdisciplinary topics.

  • Language: All manuscripts should be written in clear, professional English.

2. Manuscript Preparation

Title Page

  • Title: Concise (max 15 words), informative, and reflective of the content.

  • Authors: List the full names, institutional affiliations, and country for each author.

  • Corresponding Author: Clearly identify with an asterisk (*); include full mailing address, email, and phone number for correspondence.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words; summarize the purpose, methodology, main findings, and conclusions.

  • Keywords: Provide 3–6 relevant keywords for indexing, separated by commas.

  • JEL Classification Codes: Please supply up to three appropriate JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) codes.

Manuscript Structure

Organize your manuscript using the following recommended sections:

  1. Introduction: Background, research question, objectives, and significance.

  2. Literature Review: Brief but comprehensive synthesis of prior work relevant to the study.

  3. Data and Methodology: Description of data sources, sample, empirical strategy, and analytical methods to ensure reproducibility.

  4. Results and Discussion: Present findings objectively, with tables and figures as appropriate. Discuss implications, limitations, and relationship to existing literature.

  5. Conclusion: Summarize main contributions, policy recommendations (if any), and avenues for future research.

  6. Acknowledgments (if applicable): Recognize funding sources or non-author contributions.

  7. References: Use a consistent citation style (APA, Harvard, or Chicago), with recent and internationally recognized sources prioritized.

Formatting Details

  • Length: Standard submissions should not exceed 8,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).

  • Font & Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-pt font, double-spaced, with 2.5cm (1-inch) margins.

  • Tables & Figures: Embed in the main text and supply separately if required. Each table/figure must be titled and referenced in the text.

  • File Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or PDF as instructed on the website.

3. Ethical & Procedural Statements

  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence the research.

  • Plagiarism Screening: All submissions undergo plagiarism detection. Text similarity exceeding 15% may lead to desk rejection.

  • Data Availability: Authors are encouraged to provide data, code, and supplementary materials to enhance reproducibility.

  • Funding Acknowledgement: Disclose all sources of research funding.

4. Authorship

  • All authors must have contributed significantly to the research and manuscript writing.

  • The order of authors should reflect relative contribution, and changes post-submission require written consent from all authors.

5. Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts via the journal's online system or as directed on the JEFRR website.

  • Include a cover letter summarizing the manuscript’s contribution and originality, confirming that it is not under review elsewhere.

  • For special issues, clearly indicate the relevant theme in your cover letter and subject line.

6. Peer Review and Editorial Process
