  • Data/Figure Plagiarism: Using data, figures, or results from prior studies without acknowledgment or permission.

Plagiarism Detection and Screening

  • Every manuscript submitted to JEFRR undergoes rigorous plagiarism checks using reliable software before entering peer review.

  • The editorial team reviews similarity reports to determine overlap and verify originality.

  • Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels (typically above 15%) or clear evidence of copied content are rejected or returned to authors for correction.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Authors must ensure all sources are clearly and accurately cited.

  • Any reuse of text, ideas, datasets, or previously published materials (including their own) must be explicitly disclosed and referenced.

  • Submissions should be written in the authors' own words. Excessive quoting or unacknowledged sourcing is not permitted.

  • Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection tools before submission to minimize errors and ethical issues.

Editorial Action on Suspected Plagiarism

  • If plagiarism is detected at any point—before or after publication—JEFRR will take immediate action. Steps include:

    • Notifying the authors and requesting a detailed explanation.

    • Rejecting or retracting the manuscript or published article, depending on the stage of discovery.

    • Informing affiliated institutions and, in severe cases, issuing a publication ban and reporting to funding bodies.

  • JEFRR is dedicated to educating authors on best ethical practices and proper citation standards.

  • Authors unsure about citation or reuse can consult with the editorial office or refer to our ethical guidelines linked on the website.
