Authorship and Contribution

The Journal of Economic, Finance Research and Review (JEFRR) is committed to upholding integrity, transparency, and fairness in the assignment of authorship and acknowledgment of contributions for all published works. Proper attribution ensures that those responsible for the intellectual content of research receive appropriate credit and accountability.

Authorship Criteria

To qualify as an author for a submission to JEFRR, individuals must meet all the following criteria:

  • Significant Contribution: Participation in the conception, design, execution, data analysis, or interpretation of the study.

  • Manuscript Preparation: Involved in drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.

  • Final Approval: Approval of the final version to be published.

  • Accountability: Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work—ensuring that any questions about the accuracy or integrity can be adequately addressed.

Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet all criteria (e.g., data collection, technical help, language editing) must be recognized in the Acknowledgments section, with their explicit consent.

Author Order and Corresponding Author

  • The sequence of authors should reflect the relative contributions made to the research and manuscript.

  • Any changes in authorship (addition, removal, or reordering) after submission require written consent from all authors and a clear explanation to the editorial office.

  • One author must be designated as the corresponding author. This individual manages all communication with JEFRR during submission, peer review, and publication stages, and is responsible for ensuring all co-authors have seen and approved the manuscript.

Contribution Transparency

JEFRR requires a Contributorship Statement with each submission, specifying the explicit contributions of all listed authors (for example: conceptualization, methodology, data analysis, writing–original draft, supervision). This statement must appear both in the manuscript and during the submission process.

Acknowledgment of Non-Authors

  • Individuals or institutions that provided support (technical, financial, or general supervision) but did not meet authorship criteria should be listed in the Acknowledgments, with their permission.

  • Financial and material support must also be disclosed.

Authorship Changes

  • Requests for changes in authorship after submission must be accompanied by a signed statement from all listed authors confirming agreement and a reason for the change. Unauthorized or unjustified changes may lead to rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.

Authorship Misconduct

  • JEFRR does not permit “guest,” “gift,” or “ghost” authorship practices.

  • In cases of dispute or suspected authorship malpractice, the journal will follow COPE guidelines for investigation and resolution.

Author Responsibilities

  • All authors must ensure the manuscript is original, that all relevant data are accurately represented, and that no plagiarism or unethical practices are involved.

  • Authors share joint responsibility for the integrity of the study and must cooperate fully with any editorial investigations or requests for clarification.
